The Mysteries of China

Be warned!

As the Terracotta Army guarded the tomb of the First Emperor of China over 2200 years ago; so the Illuminasia replicas guard the entrance to the Jade Palace.

It was 1974 in Xian, China when a farmer began digging a well and accidently broke through to an ancient pit. This subterranean world contained an astonishing 6000 life size warriors, with a further 2000 discovered later.

Constructed from clay with surprising attention to detail, each of the original warriors is unique, with every head said to portray different features.

Considered as the 8th Wonder of the World, the spectacular sight of these warriors has to be an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Illuminasia you don't have to travel to the other side of the world to see them.

Although we couldn't quite fit all 8000 warriors in to our walk through exhibition; the Illuminasia Chinese lantern art sculptures, which have been hand crafted by artisans, are a sight to behold in their own right.

As you delve further into this wonderland, don't be fooled into thinking you have left the Terracotta Warriors behind. They may just come to life and march straight for you, when you least expect it.

You have been warned!

"We visited this attraction as a family so wanted something for a baby child and adults. It was just perfect you can move backwards and forwards throughout the attraction so can take as long as you like. You get a scratch card questionnaire on entry and this keeps adults and children interested in the detail of the attraction, For small children the bright lights, colours and shapes seem to keep the interest going."
